With the release of their self titled debut album, we sat down with The LuvK@tz K@T and J£M to ask them a few questions.
So, your much awaited debut alum is due to be released, how are we feeling about that?
K@T: SCARED! *laughs* no, we're really excited!
J£M: Also a little scared..
Why are you scared?!
K: I'm not!
J: Because I just want them to love us.
K: That's J£M for you, always craving love.. and attention!
*Laughs* so, tell us about the message you're putting out with this album?
J: This album is basically inspired by the way people act and percieve themselves in a certain way to be accepted and we're just kind of saying, "Dude, chill! You're awesome as you are!"
K: I just think, as with most songwriters and artists, it's based on life experience and people around us. A few of the songs we wrote quite last minute when we were on the road with [Young Guns], because their fans, the people at the shows have such an amazing attitude to things we just had to dedicate something to them!
J: Young Guns; now they're a bunch of guys who KNOW they're awesome..
How do you feel about the album altogether - has it reached your expectations?
J: I genuinely don't think it could have turned out any better, I - both of us are so pleased with it.
Your fans are too! You got a lot of good feedback from your first single from the album..
K: Yeah but in all honesty, that's only because I managed to convince Gus [tav Wood - Young Guns] to be in the video!
J: It's a really good song too K@T...
K: Well. Yeah I know that but I was trying to be modest.
It is a really good song! How did you convince Gustav to be in your video? Surely he was up for it without much convincing?
J:Nah not Gus, he's a tough nut to crack that guy..
K: Basically, he couldn't resist my charm!
J: And she spent every second of her life on tour going "Please. Gus. Please. Please. Guuuuuus!"
K: I bought him lots of sweets too.. THE CHARM! THE CHARM! He couldn't resist!
Well if you must know, I'd be in a video if sweets were the payment. Speaking of being on tour with Young Guns, how was it being the only two girls?
J: Awesome.
K: We got away with so much, because they assumed that we were too girly girly to be naughty kittens.
J: It was quite fun I must say.
Ah, so you got up to some mischief then?!
K: When did we say that?!
J: Terrible..
K: We'll never tell...
Nothing we can do to convince you to let us in on this one?
Both: Nope!
Ah nevermind! Finally, what's on the cards for you? Your own headlining tour?
K: We can't say!
J: All will be revealed!
K: Actually, all I'm gonna say, is that we've got a right hot summer lined up for you guys, just you wait!
